On Monday, June 10, the management committee of the
Conservative Party of Great Britain reported that ten candidates would compete
for the post of party leader and prime minister.
The committee reports that the list of candidates includes
former Foreign Minister Boris Johnson, current Foreign Minister Jeremy Hunt,
Minister of Natural Resources Michael Gouve, former Minister for Brexit Issues
Dominic Raab, former Speaker of the House of Commons Andreu Leeds, Minister of
International Development Rory Stewart, Minister of Labor and Esther McVee
pensions, Interior Minister Sajid Javid, Representative of the Ministry of
Finance at the House of Commons Mark Harper and Minister of Health Matthew
Hancock.
According to political scientists and bookmakers, Gove,
Raab, Hunt, and Johnson are currently considered leaders of the election
race. It is expected that the elections will end by the end of
July. It is known that the moment of election of the new prime minister
this post will be held by Teresa May, who announced her resignation on June 7.
Earlier in the “Country of Soviets” it was reported that the
number of applicants for the post of prime minister of Great Britain reached 13.
